Bespoke Mirrors, Designed Without Limits

Alguacil & Perkoff’s TIPO™ Collection combines a distinctive architectural aesthetic with exceptional flexibility, allowing designers to create bespoke mirrors tailored to both the vision and practical requirements of a project.

Strong Architectural Aesthetic

TIPO™ creates the appearance of a bold architectural frame while remaining remarkably slim. The mirror glass appears to float above the metal plane, creating subtle depth, shadow and dimensionality. Its clean, graphic design works across a wide range of interior styles, from contemporary and minimalist to Art Deco and mid-century inspired schemes.

Freedom to Design

The TIPO™ system separates the mirror glass from the frame, giving designers greater freedom to experiment with shapes, proportions and compositions. Oval glass can sit within rectangular frames, circular mirrors can be paired with square backings, and contrasting materials or finishes can turn the frame into a defining design feature.

Flexible Installation

TIPO™ is not limited to a single mirror format or installation method. The system can be adapted for wall-mounted, ceiling-suspended, countertop, wall-to-wall and other bespoke applications, allowing a consistent design language to be carried throughout different spaces and functions.

Bespoke in Every Detail

Every aspect can be customised, including shape, dimensions, frame proportions, materials, finishes and mirror specification. Options include illuminated mirrors, demister pads, tinted glass and bespoke colours, alongside handcrafted finishes such as Verdigris, bronze patinas and blackened metal.

Designed to Scale

TIPO™ combines bespoke design with a considered, repeatable frame construction that makes it particularly suited to hospitality, residential development and commercial projects requiring larger quantities. This enables greater production efficiency, consistency and value engineering without compromising the overall design intent.

Designed and manufactured in London, TIPO™ offers a flexible framework for creating distinctive, cohesive mirror schemes at any scale.

NEW POWDER COATED FRAME COLOURS

Earth Edit: New Powder-Coated RAL Frame Finishes

Introducing Earth Edit, a new collection of bespoke powder-coated RAL frame options developed for contemporary interiors. Inspired by natural materials and architectural colour palettes, the collection features Reseda Green (RAL 6011), Storm Green (RAL 190 50 10) and Oxide Red (RAL 3009).

Available across our bespoke mirror collections, these carefully selected finishes offer architects, interior designers and homeowners greater flexibility when specifying decorative mirrors for luxury residential, hospitality and commercial projects.

Alongside Earth Edit, we offer a growing range of powder-coated RAL colours, including Jet Black (RAL 9005), Traffic White (RAL 9016), Traffic Red (RAL 3020), Zinc Yellow (RAL 1018), Leaf Green (RAL 6002) and Traffic Blue (RAL 5017).

All finishes are available on a made-to-order basis and can be applied to most Alguacil & Perkoff mirror designs. We can also accommodate bespoke RAL colour specifications on request.

Choosing the Right Frame Width for Your Mirror

Choosing the width of a mirror front frame is key to achieving the right balance in any design. The frame does not only support the mirror, it also defines its overall look and feel.

Our full frame mirrors come in a range of standard front face widths, giving designers flexibility to achieve the desired aesthetic. For projects that need something more specific, the frame width can also be customised to suit individual requirements.

Choosing the right mirror face width depends on several factors:

Visual balance and proportion
Wider frames suit larger mirrors and create a sense of proportion and presence. Slimmer frames suit smaller mirrors or more minimalist interiors.

Emphasis and focal point
A thicker frame creates a strong focal point and makes the mirror stand out. A slimmer frame gives a more subtle and understated look.

Style and aesthetics
Wider frames suit more luxury or ornamental settings, while slimmer frames suit modern, industrial and minimalist interiors.

Perceived size of the mirrored surface
A thicker frame reduces the visible mirror area and gives a more contained look. A slimmer frame maximises the reflective surface and can help a space feel larger.
